Lucy caught a 7lb catfish last weekend!! This was only her 2nd time fishing! What a great catch!

The water temperature is around 66-68 degrees; the largemouth and catfish bite is consistent. According to the weather forecast, the highs will be in the 70’s this weekend ūüôā

The Largemouth Bass are fat and healthy! Although not wide open, the bite has been consistent. Anglers are targeting main lake points and the north shore. Anglers have reported seeing shad close to the shoreline in the early mornings. Most anglers are using shad pattern artificials along with various plastics. Keep in mind, the wind has been picking up in the afternoon.

The Crappie bite has finally started to pick up. Anglers reported nice size slabs being caught near the dam and north shore. Most are using nightcrawlers, red worms, meal worms, and small crappie jigs. You will have the best luck off boat or non-motorized vessel, those fishing off shore have more luck with the other species.

The Catfish bite continues to be consistent!  Most anglers are using mackerel, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers. Anglers have had the best luck near the dock!

We have nightcrawlers and mackerel available for purchase!!!

Remember, we are no longer catch and release only and all anglers 16 years and older are required to have  a California state fishing license. All department of Fish and Wildlife regulations apply.
