Henry and his awesome catch!

According to the weather forecast, the highs will be in the upper 70’s this weekend, similar to last weekend. The bite is improving daily, and we cannot wait until the bite is wide open!

The Largemouth Bass are fat and healthy! Although not wide open, the bite has been consistent. Anglers are targeting main lake points and shoreline to the left of launch ramp 3. Most anglers are trying their luck  throwing spinner baits, square bill cranks and various plastics.  Nightcrawlers also have been doing very well.

The Crappie bite has finally started to pick up. Anglers reported nice size slabs being caught near the dam and north shore. Most are using nightcrawlers, red worms, meal worms, and small crappie jigs. You will have the best luck off boat or non-motorized vessel, those fishing off shore have more luck with the other species.

The Catfish bite continues to be consistent!  Most anglers are using mackerel, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers. Anglers have had the best luck near the dock!

We have nightcrawlers and mackerel available for purchase!!!

Remember, we are no longer catch and release only and all anglers 16 years and older are required to have  a California state fishing license. All department of Fish and Wildlife regulations apply.

Stop by the Ranger Office to weigh your fish and tell us how you did!
